Role Purpose:

Support the CFO India with implementing the financial strategy for Siegwerk India and Bangladesh and Business partner to the BUs heads and their management team in consideration of the overall business strategy

Planning and execution of regular analysis, evaluations and reporting on business performance for the entity and investments with a high degree of complexity requiring senior expertise (usually within large entity or with regional/ divisional responsibilities).  Drives projects in other Finance-related topics such as automation, process optimization, SCM reporting and analysis. Improves business insights to drive better decision making.

 

Context & Core Responsibilities:

  • As a Finance Business Partner, you will play a critical role in financial planning, budgeting process and in driving strategic decision-making and ensuring financial efficiency across multiple business units. You will work closely with senior leadership and various departments to provide real-time, data-driven financial insights that inform business decisions and support sustainable growth.
  • Strategic Financial Planning: Collaborate with senior leaders to align financial planning with the company’s strategic goals. Provide financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis to support business growth.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a key liaison between finance and operations, translating complex financial data into actionable strategies. Work with different departments to ensure financial goals are met.
  • Performance Management: Monitor business results, manage budgets, develop KPIs/ scorecards for tracking and identify areas for improvement. Provide analysis and commentary including monthly progress vs budget and quarterly forecast, with focus on profitability and expense control on a regular basis.
  • Commercial Advice: Proactively challenge decisions to ensure business units are making commercially sound choices compliant with the our corporate policies and local laws. Offer financial guidance to maximize profitability while mitigating risk.
  • Financial Processes Leadership: Oversee financial planning, analysis, and modeling. Ensure the business stays on track with its financial goals. Challenges the status quo.
  • Investment and Business Case Preparation: Prepare and track business and investment cases, ensuring robust challenge to key business assumptions and investment criteria.
  • Capex Project Oversight: Monitor and manage large capital expenditure projects, ensuring they stay within budget and on schedule. Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, risks, and financial performance.

 

Carry out: Management of all finance activities (budgeting, financial planning and analysis) activities of the legal entity/country according to Group and legal guidelines and procedures.

  1. Ensure that internal financial control procedures and audit recommendations are applied to ensure that legal entity/country business operations are conducted in line with Group policies and legal regulations.
  2. Management of legal matters as well as insurance contracts to ensure that legal entity/country business operations comply with all legal obligations and that the company assets are insured against potential risks if within scope of responsibility
  3. Analyses BU, entities & manufacturing performance and proposes corrective measure for gap closing
  4. Preparation of meaningful analysis, interpretation and presentation of accounting and financial data for site management, BU management, and Regional Controllers to enable them to take the best business decisions
  5. Advise legal entity/country management and BU’s on the financial dimensions of business operations and procedures to help them achieve their business objectives in line with legal and statutory requirements
  6. Margin management: Drive focus on controlling operational expenses in close cooperation with the BU head and management team. Bring governance and ideas to further improve conversion costs.
  7. Lead and motivate staff to improve performance and continuously develop professional expertise
  8. Legal entity/country management in developing and conducting the business by organizing, directing and coordinating the preparation of accurate financial information and statements
  9. Supports BU and Operations with ad-hoc analyses and queries (e.g. margin analyses, product group analyses)\ Legal entity/country business managers in implementing their business strategies & Objectives

 

Qualifications/Competences

  • CA/MBA ( Finance)
  • 12-15 yrs. experience in finance management/ business controlling/ partnering.
  • People management experience
  • Experience of working in an international environment
  • Handles M& A, project management
