What You can expect as Application Technology - Flexible Packaging
Role Purpose
The primary role of Application Technology is to conduct analysis, testing, and quality control within a technical laboratory, leading research and formulation development (recipes) under the guidance of senior staff to support product innovation and quality. Extending the responsibilities of Technology Development Analytic, this role also involves independently managing and executing analytical tasks in the laboratory using instrumental equipment such as Gas Chromatography, Liquid Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry, and Infrared Spectrometry, ensuring timely and accurate results. Together, these functions aim to facilitate the successful implementation of products within the portfolio, aligning with Business Unit objectives and maintaining high standards of analytical precision and formulation excellence.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Ensure blending recipe, color matching meet customer expectations and SW standards.
- Participate in formal and informal training as appropriate.
- Ensure data, observations and conclusions are documented in ERP system.
- Ensure HSE / PSR standards are adhered to at all times.
- Perform a variety of routine tasks under close supervision, which provide experience and familiarization with methods, practices and programs.
- Support quality control for all blended ink types.
- Participate in SLOB reduction program by solving problems or assisting work-off programs.
- Ensure professional standards in laboratory practices and procedures are maintained and testing equipment are in good operating condition
- Enable Global Analytic Network labs to support all business units in their projects and business (e.g. solvent quality, development projects, deformulation, claim management, customer projects, BYTE activities, etc.).
- Ensure verification of analysis method monthly and Calibration of all GC method half yearly
- Update GAN statistics template every month and provide GAN report on monthly basis.
Qualifications & experience
- Technical vocational training / diploma
- First experience following a non-degree level technician qualification
