Your Tasks – What You can expect as Imports Manager?

  • Oversee and manage all import activities in line with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with international suppliers, freight forwarders, and clearing agents
  • Ensure timely clearance of shipments and minimize demurrage/detention costs
  • Monitor import documentation, including L/Cs, invoices, packing lists, and regulatory filings
  • Ensure compliance with customs, taxation, and trade regulations
  • Liaise with internal departments (procurement, finance, warehouse) for smooth operations
  • Develop cost-effective import strategies and negotiate with logistics partners
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for management review

 

Your Profile – What do You bring as Imports Manager?

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience each in freight forwarding and customs clearance
  • Strong knowledge of import regulations, customs procedures, and documentation
  • Hands-on experience with shipment handling, documentation, and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent coordination, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office
