This is a 1st Shift Position
The Maintenance Electrician Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment. Maintains, repairs, and installs all electrical equipment in accordance with the National Electrical Code. Installs lighting, conduit, and fittings and trouble shoots equipment problems using electrical print outs and schematics.

Job Responsibilities
- Installs electrical equipment in accordance with the National Electrical Code.
- Replaces and maintains electrical equipment and components. Installs lighting, conduit, and fittings.
- Troubleshoots control circuits.
- Reads and analyzes electrical prints and schematics.
- Tests and repairs electrical motors and pumps.
- Completes work orders as requested by production.
- Install Frequency drives and trouble shoot issues with drives Conducts preventive maintenance per program.
- Ability to use Allen Bradly PLC software to troubleshoot and install equipment.
- Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
- Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
- Ability to assemble and test various parts. Repair and replace pumps, valves, compressors, and other mechanical parts.
- Work with wide variety of hand tools and shop equipment.
- Additional responsibilities to include plumbing, fabrication, facility repairs, and cleaning.
- Ability to maintain water treatment system.
- Ability to use CMMS software efficiently.
- Works as a team with other maintenance personnel.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma with five years electrical experience (Required).
- Associates degree or other trade certificates (Preferred).
- Experience with and working knowledge of blue prints, electrical schematics, and ladder diagrams for PLA within an industrial setting.
- Electrical journeyman's license (Preferred).
- Valid driver's license to enable the incumbent to use company vehicle to travel to secondary manufacturing plant and pick up misc. parts.
- Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Internal/External Contacts
Frequent contacts inside the company, including Production, Plant Manager, Engineering, and a cross section of employees who request work orders. Contact with outside vendors is required.
