The Jr Business Unit Controller supports accurate financial management and controlling for a Business or Divisional Unit. This role assists both Finance Director and BU Head plus management teams in financial planning, analysis and reporting, contributing to the overall business strategy and developing core finance skills. The position is designed to foster growth, cross-functional collaboration and exposure to industry best practices.

- Support compliance and transparency: Maintain robust internal controls, adhere to regulatory standards and provide accurate, timely reporting.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration: Work with commercial, supply chain and operations teams to drive business results and support strategic initiatives.
- Support digitalization, data analytics and operational efficiency.
- Support growth: Engage in the Customer Opportunity Model analysis and proposal evaluation in partnership with BU Management, encompassing comprehensive reviews of the customer portfolio, profitability objectives, capital expenditure requirements, and the overall business case.
- Lead the financial planning and budgeting for the BU, working closely with senior team members and management.
- Ensure compliance with corporate and local policies, collaborating with corporate functions and adhering to industry regulations.
- Participate in regular planning and forecasting, focusing on profitability and expense control.
- Act as a reliable team member and business partner, supporting financial processes and decision-making.
- Collaborate across Business Units (BUs) to share best practices, support joint projects, and contribute to cross-functional initiatives.
- Participate in financial analysis of key customer contracts, investments, and profit improvement programs.
- Deliver timely and accurate operational analyses as required for BU or corporate management.
- Assist in the development of financial models and support pricing decisions.
- Assist with audits: Gather documentation and support audit requests.
Qualifications / Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in controlling, finance, or accounting (preferably in the chemical or manufacturing industry).
- Strong knowledge of Excel and financial systems (SAP experience is a plus).
- Basic understanding of financial principles and compliance standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and business units.
- Effective communication skills in English.
